Bullet Power Ups

We understand that players have become tired of the original BANG! Defense formula. I have looked over some suggestions from the community, and want to outline some planned overhaul changes to the fundamental gameplay.

New Rogue-Lite Elements

In order to increase variety between matches, a new rogue-lite system will be implemented into BANG! Defense. This will feature a number of new power ups to bullets which can be unlocked throughout a match.

If you are unfamiliar with rogue-lite mechanics, this is fundamentally how it will work:

  • There will be a pool of different power ups. The game will initially feature the following bonuses:

    • Multi-shot, Piercing, Ice, Poison and Fire

  • Every 5x waves, players will be presented with a random selection of 3 power ups. Once you select a power up, it will be unlocked for the remaining duration of the match.

  • If you collect 2 or more of the same power up, the power up will increase in tier. There will be a total of 3 tiers per power up.

    • The higher the tier, the greater the bonus, but also the greater the cost!
